Home sweet home! We think about it a lot of times, and the artists do it as well: through history (and by saying this we don't mean just the Art history), the house is a recurring leitmotif, something necessary to survive, a place where - par excellence - we hide our deeper and more intimate part of ourselves. RivistaDada n.43 Giotto and Saint Francis
150 years: this is the amount of time that divides the birth day of Saint Francis and the day Giotto died. Nonetheless, they revolutionary view of the world seems to connect them. Francis transformed weakness into strength, fear into poetry, poverty into richness, pain into joy. Giotto expressed in figures this human revolution, giving emotions and passions a voice. Their aim seems the same: taking on Earth what was considered too divine to reach.
This magazine, dedicated to the theme "Giotto and Saint Francis", refers to the quarter jul-sep 2016.

RivistaDada n.44 Art and Math
Numbers can’t be touched, and it is almost impossible to imagine the infinitely big and the infinitely small. How many are they? Is there a last number? Math is abstract and mysterious: it is inside everything, it measures the time, our body has a mathematical rhythm…
This magazine, dedicated to the theme "Math", refers to the quarter oct-dec 2016.

RivistaDada n.45 Beauty
How many times do we say “How beautiful!” or “That’s nice!” or “Awesome”? We are used to say these sentences referring to common events, to moments that are nothing more that passing trends. But beauty, according to the Ancient Greeks, was something greater, a treasure for both the sight and the soul. Beauty wasn’t human: it was a divine matter. Only heroes could reach it; only philosophers could understand it; only mathematicians could measure it. During the last centuries we started associating beauty only with art, trying to define it, making it become accessible only by the “experts”, people who can decide what’s “beautiful” and what’s not. But is it really possible to say that an artwork is simply beautiful? What is beauty? Join this journey through art and beauty with RivistaDADA!

RivistaDada n.46 Fire
The fire warms up nature with the sun. The glow of the lightnings and the light of the stars are expression of a frightening and mysterious fire. Our ancestors used to keep it with care and soon realized that it could be used to cook, to work with metals, to frighten the beasts and to light up the darkness. Creative and destructive, divine and diabolic, fearsome and useful: that’s the fire.

RivistaDada n°60 - Bianco e Nero

RivistaDada n°63 - Dante
